Three Salon Brands
We and when I say we I mean my lovely wife and I, have three salon brands. All completely different and all with their own personalities, client base and unique challenges.
Gorgeous Hair Salon
The first salon was Gorgeous Hair Salon which to begin with Sharon created with her partner. We bought her partner out two years ago and now its been re-branded and together with her manager and an amazing team they have created a salon to be proud of.
Its a boutique style, traditionally run salon in the heart of Crawley Down Village in West Sussex and even after over 30 years in the industry she still to this day works a couple of days a week on the shop floor because she says it keeps her grounded.

Mankind Barbershop
Mankind Barbershop was my first introduction to salon ownership and together with our son Wills we came up with the idea for Mankind in 2011.
We have grown since then and have added a Mankind Barbershop next to the Gorgeous Salon in Crawley Down and more recently we opened a brand new MK in the High Street in Tonbridge.

Salontwelve
Salontwelve began in 2012 hence the name, however it wasn't the only reason for the name and not being one for following, I change the way you see salons with a new concept in hairdressing born from the Primark, poundshop and easyjet trend that started around that time.
Lets face it look what happened to good old woolies who didn't change with the times and became extinct.
I could see there was a gap in the market for a different way selling salon services and against and didn't believe that just because thats how it has always been done, would mean that I should follow the norm.
